Philip Martin Gallery presents innovative, experimental and ambitious artworks in all media at its gallery location in Los Angeles, and at art fairs, both in the United States and abroad. 

Philip Martin Gallery represents Ericka Beckman, Kwame Brathwaite, Brian Bress, Carl Cheng, Holly Coulis, Katy Cowan, Tomory Dodge, Daniel Dove, J.A Feng, Sky Glabush, Sedrick Huckaby, Pamela Jorden, Kristy Luck, Nathan Mabry, James Morse, Elizabeth Newman, Laurie Nye, Robert Overby, Pat O’Neill, Joanne Petit-Frère, Micheal Rey, and Lew Thomas. 

Philip Martin Gallery presented the first American or Californian solo exhibitions in decades for artists like Hal Fischer, Ferdinand Kriwet, Alan Shields, Supports/Surfaces and the Bay Area-based "Photography and Language” group. It launched the careers of Matt Connors, Elad Lassry and Amanda Ross-Ho. Philip Martin Gallery won the International Art Critics Association award for Best Show in a Commercial Gallery Nationally in 2011 for its remounting of curator Peter Bunnell’s landmark 1970 MoMA exhibition, “Photography into Sculpture,” and has provided support for such catalogs as: "Sky Glabush: Weight of Light" (forthcoming, 2021); "Thought Pieces: 1970s Photographs by Lew Thomas, Donna-Lee Philips, and Hal Fischer" (SFMoMA/MACK, 2020); "Ericka Beckman: Double Reverse" (MIT, 2019); "Kwame Brathwaite" (Aperture, 2018); "Ericka Beckman" (Secession, 2017); "Bernard Piffaretti" (MAMCO, 2016); "Brian Bress: Make Your Own Friends" (MCA Denver, 2016); "Matt Connors: Machines" (Rainoff, 2014); "Hal Fischer: Gay Semiotics" (2014);  "Robert Heinecken: Lessons in Posing Subjects" (WIELS, Contemporary Art Centre, 2014); and "Robert Overby: Works 1969-1987" (CAC Geneva/Mousse, 2014). 

Philip Martin Gallery participates in such art fairs as Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach, The Armory Show, and FIAC.  Reviews have appeared in such publications as Art Forum, Art in America, Frieze, Flash Art, Art Review, New York Times and Los Angeles Times.
